You don’t get what you want merely by wishing for it, especially if what you want is to become a published author.
Nobody ever became a writer just by wanting to be one. – F. Scott Fitzgerald
For everything you want, there is a law that governs how it can be obtained. If you obey the law, you get the reward.
Once upon a time, someone acquired knowledge of the laws necessary to build a car. With that knowledge, they created a system that obeyed the law that says when gasoline is ignited under the right conditions within a contained space it will create pressure to make a piston move. This person built an engine. Then they added a system to use the energy from that engine to move the car forward. They added a steering system, a braking system, and other systems so that, when all the systems worked correctly, the car could be navigated from one place to another. That invention changed the world.
We often think of laws as restrictive, but a knowledge of natural laws will liberate you. They tell you how to get what you want. However, knowledge is not enough.
Knowledge is not power.
You may know everything, but without influence you can’t do anything.
Want to lose weight? You may read all the diet books in the world, but until you find the motivation to wake up early and exercise, and the right methods to eat less and eat better, your weight won’t change. To change your behavior, you need to influence yourself.
Want to start a business? Go and study marketing, join peer groups, watch inspirational videos, set up a website, and put your product on shelves, but your dream won’t come true until you convince someone to buy something. You need to influence other people.
You can make your biggest dreams come true, but only if you understand what influence is and how it works. When you obey the laws of influence, you can change the world from what it is into what you imagine it can be. Influence is like a vehicle, it’s a set of systems governed by laws, and when the systems are all working properly, influence will take you places. That vehicle is called The 7 Systems of Influence.
The 7 Systems of Influence (hereafter referred to as “7 Systems”) are:
The 7 Systems is a framework used by business leaders, academics, teachers, politicians, parents, and every other type of leader to get things done.
The 7 Systems will not tell you how to write a book, but they will help you write a better book. They will not tell you how to design a book cover, but they will help you design a better book cover. They will not tell you exactly how to market your book, but they will help you market it better.
