One of our search engine optimization clients is an eating disorder treatment center located near Logan, Utah. They’ve been with us for years, and one of the reasons we work extra hard to keep them happy is that they pay us so darn fast. Case in point, we invoiced them yesterday, and we received the check in the mail today. And this isn’t the first time this has happened.
What I want to know is how this is even possible. Is there some sort of postal wormhole between Logan and Draper that routes the mail backwards in time? I’ve had other clients, located a 15-minute drive away, who told me the check was in the mail only to have it arrive 5-10 days later. And then there are the clients who still owe us balances on invoices from five years ago, but that’s an entirely different topic.

I often wonder if there is some kind of wormhole between Whiskey Militia shipping centers and my house. I can order something Saturday and I get an email confirmation that it’s in the mail on Sunday and it arrives either Monday or Tuesday of that very next week. Kind of freaky. I wonder if the technology being brewed at Area 51 has something to do. Perhaps the government is selecting home addresses at random for some larger than life Guinea pig experiment. Any conspiracy theorists out there? 🙂
